How do you keep api-dev consistent at scale?

Posting from the 5-person team perspective. We have been working through abandoned cart and I wanted to compare notes with others in the community.
Context: currently on Klaviyo for sending, evaluating HubSpot for api dev. Not looking for sales pitches, just what broke and what held up for you.
